Blog Move

Because I'm the biggest idiot, I managed to register this blog with the wrong domain name. I didn't notice for about 8 days. I will never be able to write, 'has an eye for detail' on my job application forms ever again.

This is now where I will continue writing my ramblings;

Wrong Weather

I wore this outfit the other day, thinking that it was going to be sunny. It was sunny, then the torrential rain started up again and I wore jeans. I should've perhaps sent the weather a 'F you' message and worn it anyway, but I'm too much of a wuss.

Sheer black blouse - Primark via Ebay - £2
Vest - H&M - £3.99
Denim Shorts - Primark - £1
Plaited brown belt - Primark - £1
Heeled boots - Matalan - £4 (bought in a winter sale ages ago)

On a side note, although I don't live in the UK at the moment, but I'm obviously very saddened by the riots going on up and down the country. The people involved are angry, for good reason, but I will never understand how ruining the homes and small businesses of your neighbours will solve anything. Communities need to be strong when fighting poverty, mass unemployment and racism and this rioting just fragments them.

Ok, I'll get off my soap box now and watch some more news.

Square Scarves

I wear scarves all the time. If my outfit is teetering close to mundane, I put on my paisley or leopard print scarf to make everything look a little more interesting. Looking around the online shops it looks like square scarves with intricate Hermes-like patterns are popular at the moment.

I've previously bought square scarves from this seller on Ebay. The scarves are 90cmx90cm and only £3.49 delivered from the UK.

Ok, some of the patterns on the seller's page completely ming, but there's some that I would buy, such as those above. Shame I'm brassic <insert sad face here.

Birthday Fun

Because my boyfriend and I are on a super tight budget due to having one, quite measly income, I didn't want any fuss for my birthday this weekend. I kind of just wanted it to pass without notice. Not that I'm recommended lowing your expectations so that you're never disappointed, but I ended up having a lovely weekend. It started off with a trip out shopping and eating amazing Lebanese food

Halloumi, Schwarma, salad and hummus for €5.50. Amaze!

I went out with friends on Saturday night for drinks at a bar. The DJ played Fleetwood Mac so I was happy.

Sunday, my boyfriend prepared a deliciously sugary breakfast.

In the evening we went to try Korean BBQ.

Jacket - Primark £11
T-shirt - Topshop - gift
Jeggings - Primark £8

Marinated beef, chicken, pork, squid and prawns with sides of kimchi, marinated cucumber, white radish, fried potato in soy sauce and fried tofu.

Then we finished off with a walk in the sun and a Club Mate.

Perfect.

Rockin' all ovar zee Vorld

Tonight I went to the Berlin Beer Festival with friends (all 2km of it). I witnessed a gorgeous transvestite strutting her stuff to a German cover band playing Status Quo. That is all.

Back to School

I just bought this delicious looking beast for $18 delivered.

I bought it from Wholesale-dress.net . I've ordered a few things from there recently and chose super slow delivery. Because the items are from China, I didn't want to splash out on postage and then feel ripped off if the items are poor quality. However, with this satchel I went mad and spent an extra $3 on shipping so it gets here fast. It was $15 with slow shipping (30-80 days) or $18 with faster China Post (20-50 days), which I think makes it £9 or £11 altogether. Bit of a bargain, partly due to the US financial crisis it seems.

Missguided vs. Topshop

Another quick comparison, and a little feeling of smugness even though I'm not buying.

Belted Lace Dress by Rare - £45 at Rare or £46 at Topshop

Aldara Tailored Lace Pleat Dress in Wine - £24.99 at Missguided.com

Both of these dress come with the belt, and if you view a close-up on each dress, I'm convinced that it's the same lace material, just an ever so slightly different shade. One point to Missguided!
