Square Scarves

I wear scarves all the time. If my outfit is teetering close to mundane, I put on my paisley or leopard print scarf to make everything look a little more interesting. Looking around the online shops it looks like square scarves with intricate Hermes-like patterns are popular at the moment.

I've previously bought square scarves from this seller on Ebay. The scarves are 90cmx90cm and only £3.49 delivered from the UK.

Ok, some of the patterns on the seller's page completely ming, but there's some that I would buy, such as those above. Shame I'm brassic <insert sad face here.

Birthday Fun

Because my boyfriend and I are on a super tight budget due to having one, quite measly income, I didn't want any fuss for my birthday this weekend. I kind of just wanted it to pass without notice. Not that I'm recommended lowing your expectations so that you're never disappointed, but I ended up having a lovely weekend. It started off with a trip out shopping and eating amazing Lebanese food

Halloumi, Schwarma, salad and hummus for €5.50. Amaze!

I went out with friends on Saturday night for drinks at a bar. The DJ played Fleetwood Mac so I was happy.

Sunday, my boyfriend prepared a deliciously sugary breakfast.

In the evening we went to try Korean BBQ.

Jacket - Primark £11
T-shirt - Topshop - gift
Jeggings - Primark £8

Marinated beef, chicken, pork, squid and prawns with sides of kimchi, marinated cucumber, white radish, fried potato in soy sauce and fried tofu.

Then we finished off with a walk in the sun and a Club Mate.

Perfect.

Missguided vs. Topshop

Another quick comparison, and a little feeling of smugness even though I'm not buying.

Belted Lace Dress by Rare - £45 at Rare or £46 at Topshop

Aldara Tailored Lace Pleat Dress in Wine - £24.99 at Missguided.com

Both of these dress come with the belt, and if you view a close-up on each dress, I'm convinced that it's the same lace material, just an ever so slightly different shade. One point to Missguided!

Topshop vs. Tesco

Iin the past I've bought a few clothing items and shoes from Tesco. They always have really good online sales, there's often discount vouchers floating around (I use HotUKDeals to find them), and above all else, the quality is really good. I bought a ladder stitch jumper similar to this one last winter for £5 and had a fair few people asked me if it was Topshop.

I still browse the Tesco Clothing website, even though they don't deliver to Germany (boo), and today I came across a dress that looks remarkably similar to one Topshop currently stocks.

Topshop Sleeveless Tuck Shift Dress - £46

The Topshop one does come in a greater variety of colours, but if you're on a budget like me, I'd definitely give the Tesco dress a whirl.
